Why Green Tea is Absolute Magic

Greens! Hate them or love them, but you can just not deny the fact that greens hold nutrition for you. And among these, the most widely used-green tea.

People all around the world drink green tea due to its detoxification properties. Detoxification is the process of removing pile ups of poisonous elements in your body, which have accumulated due to poor eating habits or exposure of body to chemicals.

Your body will detoxify itself on its own as long as you are having a proper diet, working out regularly and getting ample rest. But if you aim to get rid of free radicals and slow down issues related to aging, green tea would be the perfect addition to your daily intake.

WHY SHOULD YOU DRINK GREEN TEA?

Green tea unlike other teas, have high content of polyphenols that help in detoxifying your body. Polyphenols are very strong antioxidants that offset free radicals in your body. Radicals are destructive in nature as they damage the DNA of your cells which fast paces your aging course as well as increases the risk of numerous diseases.

Catechin is another antioxidant present in this tea which is said to heighten your energy level and improve the fat burning process. It also helps in reducing the growth of streptococcus mutans (bacteria in the mouth that causes plaque formation), which improves your dental health.

Regular consumption of green tea not only detoxifies your body but also helps in maintaining the weight that you have achieved after spending long hours, struggling in the gym. So adding it in your diet will promise you quick results.

Additionally, green tea has EGCG and they help in protecting your body from diseases. So even if you are not a tea person, you can still help your body in gaining benefit from it. Just 2-3 cups a day, and you stay fit for a long time.

Caffeine is also one of the components of green tea which helps your brain function smartly.

Green tea is also said to reduce blood sugar levels, hence decreasing your risk of Type II Diabetes.

ARE THERE ANY ADVERSE EFFECTS?

Although green tea is considered a nontoxic, herbal drink, it may sometimes react to certain medical conditions. Hence if you are on medication, it is important that you consult your doctor before drinking or increasing the intake of green tea.

USEFUL TIPS

In order to derive complete nutrition and detox for your body, you can grind leaves into powder form and then mix it into hot water for making tea. This helps in gaining more antioxidants for the body.

A study suggests that drinking 3-5 cups of green tea a day can help you stay fit as well as lose twice the weight, compared to what you would lose without drinking it.

So if you are up for adding green tea to your diet, make sure you are getting just the right one. Suggestions for the best tried and tested brands include Imperial Green Tea, Organic Green Tea and Lipton Green Tea.
